Findlay Service League to Host BalloonFest Beverage Tent

Stop by August 9 & 10 to support local volunteerism and scholarships!


(FINDLAY, Ohio, July XX, 2013)  – The Findlay Service League (FSL), a local organization of women, dedicated to giving back to the Findlay/Hancock County community, will be hosting the beverage tent at the 2013 Flag City BalloonFest August 9th from 4-10:00p.m., and 10th from 2-10:00p.m. Co-Sponsored by Taylor Kia of Findlay, proceeds from sales will fund FSL’s scholarship program for local students, as well as support a variety of service efforts.

  • When: Friday, August 9, 4-10:00p.m. and Saturday, August 10, 2-10:00p.m.
  • Where: 2013 Flag City Balloon Festival, Emory Adams Park, 1827 South Blanchard St., Findlay
  • Offerings: Stop by to enjoy your favorite libations – Budweiser, Bud Light, Yuengling, and Strawberry and Lime-a-Ritas!

Active in the community since 1976, FSL has made a large impact in Findlay/Hancock County during its 2012 and 2013 years. Thus far, the group has donated nearly $7,000 to local organizations, and participated in nine service projects, as well as sponsoring scholarships for high school seniors graduating in Hancock County.

Contributing to local organizations such as Salvation Army, CASA, Open Arms, Chopin Hall, Junior Achievement, Findlay YMCA, The Arts Partnership, Hope House and others, the group has provided important funding for education, safety, children’s’ programming and other important needs. FSL Volunteers also regularly staff the Mazza Museum’s “Funday Sunday” events, assist the Humane Society with dog walking, provide food for the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, and many other activities through the year. The group is also planning their semiannual Homes Tour event for November 9, 2013.
